Feels like we’re stuck in a weird transition phase...

Yeah, totally get that. I still keep a crumpled paper copy in my glove box, just in case tech fails at the worst time. Part of me thinks we’ll always need some kind of backup, even as things go digital. It’s just less stressful knowing you’ve got both, y’know?

Honestly, I’m with you on the backup thing. I keep a folder in my glove box too—old habit, but it’s saved me once or twice. Here’s what I do:

- Paper copies in the car (even if they’re a bit beat up).
- Digital scans in my email, just in case.
- Quick photo on my phone for emergencies.

Paper’s not going away anytime soon, no matter how slick the apps get. Tech glitches at the worst possible moment... Murphy’s Law, right?

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve got everything backed up digitally, but I still keep a hard copy in the glove box—just feels safer. Had a situation last year where my phone decided to freeze while I was pulled over for a random check. The officer didn’t care about my app or email screenshot—just wanted to see the paper. Having that beat-up folder saved me from a headache.

Honestly, with some of these high-end systems in newer cars, you’d think everything would be seamless, but even they’re not immune to random bugs or dead batteries. Old-school paper still wins in a pinch. You’re smart to cover all your bases. It’s one less thing to stress about when something goes sideways.

Yeah, I’m with you—paper just feels more reliable when things get weird. I keep a printed copy stashed away too, even though I’ve got everything on my phone. One thing I wonder: how many people actually check if their paper docs are still current? I found an expired one in my glove box last month… would’ve been awkward if I needed it. Tech’s great until it isn’t, but paper’s only good if you remember to update it.

Honestly, I get the whole “paper feels safer” thing, but have you ever tried to find that one form when you actually need it? I swear, my glove box is like a black hole for expired insurance cards and old fast food napkins. At least with digital, it’s (usually) just a couple taps away… unless your phone’s dead, which, let’s be real, happens more than I’d like to admit. Maybe the trick is setting a reminder to swap out the paper copy every renewal? Or am I just making things more complicated?
