Been there myself, man... bumped a parked car once, zero visible damage, but spent the next week convinced I'd somehow broken their fancy backup camera or something. Modern cars are great until they're not, right? Sensors everywhere, and suddenly a tiny tap feels like you just totaled someone's Tesla. 😂

But yeah, reporting it was smart. Even if nothing comes of it, at least you won't be waking up at 3 AM wondering if that random beep from their parking assist is your fault. Peace of mind is worth a lot—especially when you're on a tight budget and can't afford surprise repair bills down the line. Glad it turned out okay!

Yeah, reporting's usually the safer bet. I've seen cases where even minor bumps mess with alignment sensors or radar systems—stuff you wouldn't notice at first glance. Better safe than sorry, especially with today's tech-loaded cars... repairs can get pricey fast.

Yeah, good call. Even my old-school ride—no fancy sensors or anything—once had alignment issues from a minor tap. Didn't notice till weeks later. Better to cover yourself early, saves headaches down the road...

Yeah, learned that one the hard way myself. Couple years back, I barely tapped someone's bumper in a crowded parking lot—didn't see any damage, shrugged it off. Fast forward a month into a cross-country drive, and my steering wheel starts pulling slightly to the left. Turns out that tiny bump knocked something just enough to cause alignment issues later on. Definitely worth reporting just to avoid surprises when you're miles from home...

Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about alignment issues popping up from just a minor bumper tap. Not saying it couldn't happen, but usually alignment problems come from hitting potholes or curbs pretty hard—stuff that directly impacts your wheels or suspension. A gentle bumper nudge typically wouldn't transfer enough force to mess up steering alignment, at least not in my experience.

Still, I totally agree with the general idea of reporting even minor incidents. A few months ago, I lightly bumped into someone's parked car outside a coffee shop. Looked closely, didn't see any scratches or dents, but decided to leave a note anyway. Turns out the owner was super chill about it—texted me later saying he appreciated the honesty and confirmed there was no damage. It felt good knowing I wasn't gonna get a surprise call weeks later claiming some mysterious dent or scratch.

Plus, think about it this way: even if there's no visible damage, covering yourself by reporting it can save you from potential scams or misunderstandings down the line. People can be unpredictable—someone might notice unrelated damage later and assume you're responsible. Reporting early gives you a clear record of what actually happened.

But back to the alignment thing... maybe your steering issue was already brewing before that bump? Could've been coincidence or something else entirely. Cars are weird like that sometimes—small issues can stay hidden until you're halfway across the country. Either way, better safe than sorry when it comes to reporting minor bumps.
