I'm kinda torn here... Progressive seems straightforward enough, but Geico's rates look tempting too. Anyone have experience with either for SR-22 in Georgia? Curious about hidden fees or hassles you ran into.

Been there, done that... Geico's rates looked sweet at first, but watch out for those sneaky processing fees. Progressive was pretty chillβ€”no surprises, and their SR-22 filing was painless. Just brace yourself for the renewal hikes later down the road.

I've heard similar stories about Progressive being straightforward, but honestly, both have their quirks. Curious though, has anyone tried smaller local companies for SR-22? Sometimes they're surprisingly flexible, especially if you're dealing with classic cars...

That's a solid point. I've personally found smaller local insurers to be quite accommodating, especially when budget is a concern. After my own SR-22 requirement kicked in, I initially leaned towards the bigger names like Progressive and Geico too, but ended up saving noticeably by going local. Definitely worth exploring if you're trying to balance cost and coverageβ€”particularly with specialty vehicles involved.

That's a fair point about smaller insurers. A friend of mine went with a local company after his DUI and SR-22 requirementβ€”said he liked the personal touch and flexibility. But he also mentioned having to double-check coverage details more carefully, since their policies weren't always as clear-cut as the bigger names. Just something to keep in mind if you're weighing your options...
