Drafting behind an RV? Nah, not worth the hassle. Better off keeping a portable charger handy or scouting charging spots ahead of time. Trust me, nothing beats proper prep—especially compared to tailgating some lumbering box on wheels...

Haha, agreed—last thing I want is my shiny EV catching gravel from some giant camper. That said, portable chargers are hit or miss...better off scouting reliable stations beforehand. Learned that one the hard way.

Had a similar experience last summer on a road trip—thought I'd be clever and save some cash by drafting behind a semi. Big mistake. Sure, I squeezed out a couple extra miles, but ended up with a windshield full of tiny chips from kicked-up debris. Lesson learned: short-term savings aren't worth the long-term hassle.

Totally agree about portable chargers being hit or miss. Borrowed one from a buddy once, and it barely gave my EV enough juice to limp to the next station. Now I just plan ahead:

- Check PlugShare or ChargePoint reviews beforehand to avoid sketchy stations.
- Keep an eye on weather conditions—cold snaps can seriously cut into your range.
- Always have a backup charging spot in mind, even if it means driving a bit out of the way.

Yeah, it takes some extra prep, but beats getting stranded or paying for unnecessary repairs down the road.

Tried the drafting trick myself once—didn't notice any real savings, just made me nervous as hell. Honestly, better tires and regular battery checks have saved me more headaches than any driving hacks I've tried...

Couldn't agree more with this. I've seen plenty of clients try all sorts of tricks to squeeze extra miles out of their EVs, but honestly, most of those hacks are more stress than they're worth. Drafting especially—sounds good in theory, but tailgating a semi at highway speeds? No thanks, I'll pass on that adrenaline rush...

In my experience, the best way to avoid getting stranded is just good old-fashioned planning ahead. Keeping your battery health in check, knowing your realistic range (not the optimistic number the manufacturer gives you), and investing in quality tires really do make a noticeable difference. Sure, it's not as exciting as some of these "life hacks," but I'd rather be boring and safe than adventurous and stuck on the side of the road.
