"Honestly, range anxiety isn't that big a deal once you get used to it."

Maybe for seasoned EV drivers, but as a student driver still figuring out parallel parking (don't judge me...), the idea of my car dying mid-trip is terrifying. Checking apps and routes sounds easy until you're late for class, your phone's at 5%, and the nearest charger is mysteriously offline. Guess I'll stick to my trusty gas-guzzler until EVs come with built-in anxiety meds.

Haha, totally get you. I once borrowed my buddy's EV for a weekend tripβ€”thought I'd planned everything perfectly. Halfway there, the charger I counted on was "temporarily unavailable." Ended up spending two hours at a sketchy diner waiting for a slow charger to do its thing. Give me my old-school gas gauge and a spare jerry can any day... at least then my anxiety's limited to wondering if I remembered to tighten the gas cap.

Haha, been there! Next time, try downloading one of those EV charger apps beforehandβ€”they usually show real-time availability. Saved me from sketchy diners more than once... though sometimes the pie makes it worth the wait.

Haha, totally relate to this. Last month I skipped checking the app (rookie mistake), ended up at this tiny roadside diner with a charger that looked older than my grandma. Thought I'd be stuck forever, but honestly, their chili cheese fries were surprisingly amazing... almost made the anxiety worth it. Lesson learned: always have a backup snack plan just in case the charger situation goes south.

Haha, chili cheese fries sound like a solid consolation prize for charger anxiety. Had a similar experience last summerβ€”pulled into this tiny town thinking I'd found a hidden gem of a charging spot. Turns out the charger was ancient and barely functional, but the diner next door had pancakes that were honestly life-changing. Still, wouldn't recommend relying on pancakes alone to ease EV stress...

One thing I've started doing is keeping a portable charger in the trunk. It's not gonna fully juice up your car or anything, but it can give you just enough range to limp to the next decent station. Also, snacks are a mustβ€”granola bars, trail mix, whatever won't melt or spoil easily. Learned that the hard way after discovering melted chocolate bars in my glovebox (rookie mistake #2).

Anyway, glad you survived your roadside diner adventure. Sometimes those sketchy stops end up being the best stories later on.
