Interesting take, but honestly, I wonder if we're all just overthinking this deductible stuff sometimes. I mean, sure, keeping the classic tucked away and off busy roads helps, but isn't the whole point of insurance to cover those random, unpredictable moments? Like last month, my neighbor's tree branch decided to crash onto my hood overnight—talk about unexpected. No amount of careful driving or garage storage could've prevented that.

I get wanting to save a few bucks on premiums, but maybe it's less about how often we drive and more about how comfortable we are gambling on luck? Personally, I'd rather pay a bit more upfront than stress every time there's a storm or some kid with a baseball nearby. But hey, maybe that's just me being paranoid...

Totally get where you're coming from... a few years back on a road trip, a random rock cracked my windshield outta nowhere. Ever since, I keep my deductible low—peace of mind beats saving a few bucks any day. Guess I'm cautious like that.

Keeping a low deductible definitely makes sense if you're frequently on the road or prone to those random mishaps. But honestly, if you crunch the numbers, sometimes a higher deductible can save you quite a bit over time—especially if you're a careful driver and rarely file claims. I commute daily, and after analyzing my driving habits and claim history, I found that bumping up my deductible slightly actually lowered my premiums enough to justify the risk. Guess it all boils down to personal comfort and driving patterns...

Yeah, I went through a similar thought process recently. I've always kept my deductible low because, honestly, the idea of paying a big chunk out-of-pocket freaked me out. But after looking at my claim history—basically nonexistent—and realizing how much extra I was paying each month, I decided to risk it and raise mine. It's been about a year now, and I've saved enough on premiums to cover the higher deductible if something does happen... fingers crossed it doesn't though, haha.
