Been thinking about this lately...my brother-in-law sometimes borrows my car for his side hustle deliveries. Wondering if most of you prefer just casually letting family/friends use your car for business errands or if you'd rather add them officially to your insurance? Seems like a hassle either way, tbh.

Honestly, I've been down this road before (pun intended, lol). A few quick thoughts:
- If it's just occasional and short-term, your existing insurance usually covers casual borrowing. But once it becomes regular or for business purposes, things can get tricky.
- Business use is a different animal altogether. Most personal policies explicitly exclude commercial use, so if something happens during a delivery, you might be left holding the bag.
- Adding someone officially isn't always as expensive or complicated as you'd think. I added my cousin temporarily when he needed my car for his catering gig, and it was surprisingly painlessβjust a quick call and a small fee.
- If your brother-in-law's side hustle is becoming a regular thing, maybe suggest he look into a commercial rider or his own coverage? Saves you headaches down the line.
Bottom line: better safe than sorry...especially if your ride is your baby like mine is. 😉
