Yeah, mileage-based policies can be tricky... insurers love 'em because they're cheap upfront, but the second something happens, they dig into every tiny detail. Sometimes it's just easier to pay a bit more and skip the hassle later.

True, but if you're careful tracking miles and clear about who's covered, mileage-based can still save decent money. Had a similar issue lending my car—lesson learned: always double-check policy fine print first...

Mileage-based can be good, but honestly, the peace of mind from full coverage is worth a few extra bucks to me. Had a buddy borrow mine once and got rear-ended—sorting that mess was a nightmare. Lesson learned the hard way...

Totally agree that full coverage is worth the extra cost. As a student driver, I'm still figuring out all this insurance stuff, but hearing stories like yours makes me think twice about going cheap. I mean, mileage-based sounds tempting for someone who doesn't drive a ton, but what happens if someone else gets behind the wheel and things go sideways? Seems like the few bucks saved aren't worth the potential headache...especially when friends borrowing cars can be so unpredictable.

Yeah, learned that lesson the hard way myself. Lent my car to a buddy once, thinking it'd just be a quick errand—no big deal, right? Well, he ended up rear-ending someone, and guess who had to untangle that insurance mess afterward... Mileage-based insurance might seem appealing if you're driving less, but honestly, full coverage gives you peace of mind that's worth every penny. Friends mean well, but accidents happen—and it's usually when you least expect it.
