Yeah, insurance can be weirdly unpredictable. Had a similar deal when someone rear-ended me at a stop sign—thought it'd be simple since it clearly wasn't my fault. Nope...weeks of calls and paperwork, felt like a full-time job. Seems like minor incidents sometimes trigger extra scrutiny, maybe because they're easier to dispute or something? Anyway, hang in there, it'll get sorted eventually.

Insurance definitely feels random sometimes, but honestly, my experience was weirdly opposite. When someone backed into my parked car, I dreaded the paperwork nightmare...but surprisingly, it was handled in just a few days. Maybe it's luck, or certain companies handle minor stuff differently? Who knows.

Could be luck, but honestly, I think it heavily depends on the agent you get. When I had my accident during a road trip last summer—just a minor fender bender, nothing crazy—it turned into a month-long saga of back-and-forth emails and calls. Same company handled my buddy's claim in like three days flat. Seems less about the severity and more about who's at the desk that day...or maybe how much coffee they've had.

Could be partly true, but it's usually more about how clear-cut the details are. Even minor claims get complicated fast if there's conflicting info or missing documentation. Coffee helps, but paperwork rules.

Haha, true enough. I lent my car to a buddy last summer, thinking it'd be a straightforward deal... nope. Even though it was just a minor fender-bender, insurance got super messy because the details weren't totally clear. My friend had his own coverage, but then they started debating whose policy was primary, secondary, blah blah. Felt like every time we called, we got a different answer depending on who picked up the phone.

I get what you're saying about clarity—if everything's neatly documented, it's usually smooth sailing. But honestly, it also feels like there's some luck involved with whoever handles your case. Maybe it is coffee-related after all...
