The agreed value thing is a big deal for me. If something happens, I know what I’m getting.

Totally get that—knowing exactly what you’d get back if the worst happens is huge peace of mind. I’m with you on the lower premiums too. The mileage cap can be a hassle, but honestly, for folks who mostly cruise on weekends or hit up shows, it’s a fair trade-off. I’ve had to track my miles a bit closer than I’d like, but it’s never been a dealbreaker. If you’re not daily driving, classic policies just make sense.

I kinda get where you’re coming from, but I’ve run into issues with the mileage cap. Last summer, I planned a few extra road trips and almost went over. Here’s how I handled it: first, I mapped out my big drives at the start of the year. Then, I kept a log in my phone after each trip. It’s not perfect—sometimes I forget to update it—but it helped me avoid surprises. Still not sure if it’s worth the hassle long-term, but for now it works.

I hear you on the hassle—keeping tabs on mileage isn’t exactly fun, and it’s easy to forget after a long day out. I’ve definitely had to double-check my numbers a few times, especially after spontaneous drives. Still, I keep coming back for the agreed value coverage and lower premiums. For me, the peace of mind outweighs the inconvenience, but I get why it’s a pain if you like to hit the open road more often. It’s a trade-off, no doubt.

That’s pretty much where I land too. The agreed value is huge—if something happens, I want to know I’m not getting lowballed. Yeah, tracking miles is a chore, but honestly, I’d rather deal with that than risk a claim getting denied or paying way more for coverage I don’t need. I do wish there was a better system for spontaneous drives, though. Sometimes I just want to take the car out without doing mental math... but I guess that’s the price for keeping costs down and coverage solid.

Same here. I get why the mileage cap exists, but tracking every trip gets old fast. I’ve caught myself skipping drives just to stay under the limit. For me, not having to stress about claims is worth it, but man, it does take some of the fun out of owning a classic.
