WHY DOES PAYING MONTHLY COST MORE THAN PAYING ANNUALLY?

Honestly, I’ve always wondered about that too. I’ve canceled an annual gym membership before and they only gave me a partial refund—minus some “processing” fee that wasn’t clear up front.

That’s exactly how it feels. It’s like you’re punished for being careful with your money. I get the “mini-loan” logic, but sometimes it just seems like an excuse to charge more.
