Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. It’s frustrating when you’ve earned those points and then can’t stack them with a promo code. I always wonder if it’s just a software limitation or if they’re really just trying to keep us from getting too good of a deal. Have you ever tried asking at the counter if they’ll make an exception? Sometimes they’ll bend the rules, but not always. I guess it’s like insurance discounts—companies rarely let you double up, even if it seems fair.

I’ve actually had the opposite experience a couple times—asked at the counter and they just shrugged, said “policy’s policy.” I get it from their side, but it still stings when you’re trying to stretch your budget. Sometimes I just save my points for a bigger purchase instead of wasting them on a small one with a coupon. Not ideal, but it feels like I’m getting more out of it that way.

I get where you’re coming from, but honestly, I just ask straight up every time even if I know they’ll say no. Sometimes you get a newbie who just punches it in anyway. If not, whatever—just rack up points till it’s actually worth it. No point getting worked up over their rules, right?

Yeah, I get the temptation to just ask every time—never hurts, right? But honestly, I’ve stopped bothering. Most of the time they just give me that “sorry, can’t stack them” line and I end up feeling like I wasted everyone’s time. I just save up my points for a bigger discount down the road. Not worth stressing over a couple bucks if the system’s not gonna budge.

Honestly, I hear you, but I still try every now and then. Sometimes you get a cashier who’ll just punch it in anyway, or maybe there’s a promo glitch online. I’ve lucked out once or twice—nothing huge, just enough for a free coffee on the next road stop. Doesn’t hurt to ask if you’re not in a rush. If it’s a hard no, no big deal... but sometimes you get a win.
