I've definitely noticed location making a difference. Had a flat tire once in the middle of nowhere and waited almost two hours, but in town, AAA showed up in like 20 minutes. From what I've seen, rural areas tend to have fewer contracted service providers, so response times naturally stretch out. It might help to keep a backup plan handy—like a basic roadside kit or local tow numbers—just in case AAA takes longer than expected.

I've had similar experiences, but I'm not entirely sure it's just about rural vs. urban locations. Last year, I had a flat tire on a busy highway near the city center, and AAA still took over an hour to arrive. On the other hand, during a weekend trip to a remote vineyard, they showed up surprisingly quickly—within 30 minutes. It might also depend on timing, traffic conditions, or even how busy their contracted providers are at that moment.

I agree having a backup plan is wise, though. Personally, I keep a portable tire inflator and basic tools in my trunk, just for peace of mind. AAA has generally been reliable for me, but it's always good to be prepared... you never know when you'll need it.

Yeah, I've noticed AAA response times can be pretty inconsistent lately. Had a dead battery in my driveway last month, and they took almost two hours... no traffic or anything. Definitely agree about keeping some basic gear handy—better safe than sorry.

Had a similar experience recently—flat tire, middle of the afternoon, and still waited over an hour. A few things I've found helpful:

- Keep a portable jump starter in your car. They're compact, affordable, and can save you from waiting around.
- Check your spare tire regularly. Nothing worse than realizing it's flat too...
- Consider local roadside assistance options as a backup. Sometimes they're quicker and more reliable.

AAA's still decent overall, but having a plan B never hurts.

I've had mixed experiences with AAA lately too. Last time I called, it took forever, and the guy seemed rushed and not very thorough. Your tips are solid, especially about checking the spare tire—learned that one the hard way myself. But I'm curious, has anyone tried those tire sealant kits as a temporary fix? I've heard mixed things about them...wondering if they're worth keeping around or if they're more trouble than they're worth.
