I've had AAA Plus for years and honestly, upgrading mostly just gave me peace of mind for the towing distance. Response times seem to depend way more on how busy things are locally. For my old Mustang, specialty roadside was definitely a better fit...worth looking into imo.
- Honestly, I'm still on the fence about AAA. Just bought my first policy recently and went with basic coverage to test the waters.
- Response times have been kinda hit or miss so farβlike you said, seems totally dependent on local demand. Had one quick jump-start experience, but another time waited forever for a simple lockout.
- Interesting point about specialty roadside though...never even thought about that being a thing. My car isn't exactly vintage (just an '09 Civic), but maybe specialized services would be more reliable?
- Guess I'll stick with AAA for now since it's familiar and easy, but definitely open to checking out other options down the road. Pun intended, lol...

Yeah, it's always a gamble with response times...but honestly, AAA's still pretty solid overall. Maybe keep a small emergency kit handy too, just in case? Better safe than sorry, right?
I've had mixed experiences with AAA too. They're usually reliable, but lately it seems like response times are getting more inconsistent. Had a client recently who waited almost two hours for a simple battery jump, and it wasn't even peak hours or bad weather. Makes you wonder if they're spreading themselves too thin or something...
Keeping an emergency kit is definitely smart advice though. I started carrying one after a flat tire incident last winterβlesson learned the hard way, haha. But I'm curious, has anyone tried other roadside assistance services like through their car manufacturer or phone provider? Wondering if those might be worth checking out as alternatives or backups...

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing lately. AAA used to be my go-to, but after a couple of frustrating waits, I decided to give my car manufacturer's roadside assistance a shot. Surprisingly, it was pretty solidβgot someone out to me in under 30 mins when I locked my keys in the car. Might be worth checking if your warranty or phone plan includes something similar as a backup...
