Yeah, insurance fine print can feel like reading ancient hieroglyphics sometimes... even for those of us who've been in the industry a while. Technically, insurers want to know about any incidents because they're assessing risk—basically, they're trying to predict if you're likely to have more accidents down the road. Usually, there's no direct "penalty," but if they find out later (say, through another driver's claim), it could complicate things. Has anyone here actually had their rates go up after reporting something minor? Curious how common that really is.
