Just got pulled over last week and found out my insurance had lapsed without me even realizing it. Now I'm looking at fines, possible license suspension, and who knows what else. Honestly, feels like they're treating me like some kind of criminal for an honest mistake. I get that insurance is important, but man, the penalties seem pretty harsh. Has anyone else dealt with this? Curious if it's just me or if Utah's rules are really this strict...

Yeah, Utah can be pretty unforgiving about insurance stuff. Had a buddy who went through something similar—ended up with fines and had to jump through hoops to keep his license. Harsh, but I guess they're strict for a reason...
