One time I tried to get a paper claim form at my agent’s office and they literally had to print it off the same broken website. Kinda defeats the purpose of “redundancy,” right?

That’s classic. I swear, half the reason I pay for premium coverage is so I *don’t* have to deal with this circus. Nothing like standing next to your car (which costs more than some houses) while someone fumbles through a filing cabinet... only to hand you a freshly printed “paper backup” from a dead web portal. You nailed it—pick a lane, maintain it, and let us get back to our lives (or at least back on the road).

I get the frustration, but honestly? Paper saved my bacon once when my phone died mid-claim after a fender bender.

“pick a lane, maintain it, and let us get back to our lives (or at least back on the road)”
—I’d love that, but sometimes you need both lanes open, just in case.

Yeah, I hear you. Paper’s like that old spare tire—never your first pick, but you’re glad it’s there when things go sideways. Digital’s great till your battery taps out or the app freezes. Sometimes you just gotta keep both options handy... just in case.

That’s a fair point—paper’s definitely a solid backup when tech fails. I’ve had my phone die right as I needed to pull up a digital form, and it was a scramble. But then again, paper can get lost or damaged pretty easily, especially if you’re on the move a lot. Has anyone actually had a claim delayed because they only had one format and not the other? I’m always weighing the risk of carrying extra stuff versus just trusting the cloud...

I’ve actually had a claim get held up once because I only had a digital copy and the adjuster’s tablet wouldn’t connect to the network. We ended up waiting around for ages while he tried to get a signal. After that, I started keeping a paper copy in my glove box, just in case. It’s a pain to keep both, but honestly, it’s saved me from headaches more than once. I get not wanting to carry extra stuff, though—especially if you’re already juggling a bunch of things. But tech isn’t always as reliable as we want it to be...
