I've been with State Farm for our family cars for about five years now, and I totally get what you're saying about the paperwork and phone tag. Their app's decent, but when we had a minor fender-bender last year, I still ended up spending way too much time on hold. Curious though, does Farm Bureau handle auto claims as smoothly as home claims? If they're quicker there too, might be worth switching...

Had a similar experience with Farm Bureau last year when my daughter backed into a mailbox (teen drivers, gotta love 'em...). Honestly, their auto claim process was pretty straightforward. I uploaded pics through their app, and someone called back the next morning. Got it all sorted in under a week without endless hold music. Home claims have always been smooth too, so overall I'd say they're consistent. Worth considering if you value less hassle.

Had a similar experience with State Farm a couple years back when someone dinged my '68 Mustang at a car show (still hurts to think about it...). They handled it pretty smoothly, but I've heard good things about Farm Bureau too, especially from friends with teen drivers. Seems like both companies have their strengths. Curious though, anyone had experience insuring classic cars with Farm Bureau? Always wondered how they stack up in that department.

Had my '72 Corvette insured with Farm Bureau for about three years, and overall, I'd say it was a pretty solid experience. The key is to get an agreed-value policy—step one, make sure you clearly document the car's condition and value upfront (photos, appraisal, receipts, etc.). Step two, confirm mileage restrictions; they can be strict on classics. Lastly, double-check their stance on repairs—some prefer certain shops. They're competitive, but honestly, State Farm might have a slight edge in flexibility.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way after a spontaneous road trip down Route 66—oops. 😅 But their customer service was always friendly and helpful. Switched to State Farm later because I needed more flexibility, but Farm Bureau's definitely solid if your classic mostly stays local.
