I get the logic behind going weekly, but honestly, I've had mixed experiences. Last time my car was in the shop, I went with the weekly rate thinking I was being smart, and of course, they finished early for once. Felt like I threw money away. But then again, the time before that, daily charges piled up fast when repairs dragged on unexpectedly. Guess it depends how much you trust your mechanic's timeline... personally, I'm still skeptical either way.
