So, I was shopping online yesterday for a new laptop (my old one is basically a potato at this point, lol) and stumbled across this student discount thing. At first, I thought it was just the usual "show your student ID" deal, but turns out they actually had a GPA requirement. Like, if your GPA is above a certain number, you get an even bigger discount. Never seen that before.
Anyway, I figured why not give it a shot—I mean, my grades aren't perfect but they're decent enough. Uploaded my transcript and boom...got approved for an extra 15% off. Felt pretty good to see those late-night study sessions finally paying off in actual dollars saved, haha.
Honestly didn't even know this kind of discount existed until now. Makes me wonder how many other places do something similar. Kinda wish I'd known sooner—could've saved some cash on textbooks or software subscriptions earlier this semester.
Curious if anyone else has run into these GPA-based discounts before? Or maybe scored another type of reward or perk because of good grades? Would love to hear some success stories or tips on other hidden gems out there.
That's pretty neat, never heard of GPA-based discounts either. But I do know some car insurance companies give lower rates if your grades are decent—saved me a good chunk back in college. Worth checking out if you haven't already.
