Totally agree about digital apps glitching at the worst possible moment...been there myself. I actually do both now—keep the physical card in the glovebox and a screenshot on my phone, just in case. One quick tip: if you're going digital, make sure your phone's charged and unlocked before handing it over. Learned that the hard way when my battery died mid-conversation with an officer. Awkward doesn't even begin to describe it...

Good call on the screenshot backup, but heads-up—some states (including SD, last I checked) require the digital proof to be from an official app, not just a screenshot. Might wanna double-check that to avoid another awkward convo roadside...

Wait, is that official app thing recent? I swear my instructor said screenshots were fine last month... now I'm second-guessing everything, lol. Guess I'll download the app just to be safe—better than another awkward "uhh, officer..." moment roadside.

Had the same confusion a few weeks ago. Instructor said screenshots were fine, but the officer who stopped me said otherwise... luckily he let me off with a warning. Definitely switched to the official app after that awkward convo, lol.

Yeah, screenshots can be hit or miss depending on the officer. Technically, SD allows digital proof, but some officers prefer something official-looking (like the actual app) rather than a random screenshot. Had a similar experience myself—cop stared at my cracked screen forever trying to read it 😂. Official app's definitely safer to avoid awkward roadside debates...
