You pay more, but you know what you’re getting and you avoid those surprise fees when something goes wrong. The predictability is worth it for me.

I totally get where you’re coming from. That “tied to a specific network or region” thing with Advantage plans just doesn’t work for folks who are always on the move. I’ve had friends get stuck with out-of-network bills just because they needed care a few states over—no thanks. Medigap’s predictability is a big deal, especially if you’ve ever dealt with surprise medical costs. Sure, it’s pricier, but like you said, it’s like paying for peace of mind. For people who actually use their freedom to travel, it’s hard to put a price on that.
