I get where you’re coming from, but I’ve seen a buddy get stuck with a huge bill because he didn’t have the extra coverage. It’s annoying, but those “gaps” can really bite you if something goes sideways. For me, paying a bit more now beats risking thousands later.

Honestly, I get the logic, but I’ve never bothered with the extra coverage. In ten years of rideshare driving and road trips, I’ve only had one minor fender bender—insurance handled it fine. Sometimes it feels like they’re just upselling fear.

I get where you’re coming from. Insurance companies do have a knack for making you feel like you need every add-on under the sun. In my experience, the standard coverage usually does the trick, especially if you’re careful and keep your record clean. I’ve restored a few classics over the years and, trust me, those policies are a whole different beast—talk about upselling! As long as you’re comfortable with your risk level, I wouldn’t stress too much about the extras.

Man, I hear you on the insurance upsell circus. I once tried to add roadside assistance and ended up with a policy that covered everything except my actual car. Honestly, I stick to the basics too—just gotta drive like everyone’s out to get you and hope for the best.

Man, insurance is wild. I remember when I first started driving for rideshare, I thought I was covered no matter what since I had “full coverage.” Turns out, there’s this weird gray area when you’re logged into the app but haven’t accepted a ride yet. My buddy got rear-ended in that exact situation and spent weeks going back and forth between his own insurance and the rideshare company. Neither wanted to pay up at first—total headache.

I always wonder if it’s even worth paying extra for all those add-ons they push. Like, does anyone actually feel more secure, or is it just peace of mind on paper? Has anyone actually had a claim go smoothly when they were between trips? I feel like the rules keep changing, too...
