That's exactly what I found out when I called my insurance company a while back. They mentioned that "period 1" thing too, and honestly, it made me pretty uneasy. I ended up adding a rideshare endorsement to my policy just to be safe. It wasn't too expensive, and now at least I'm not stressing every time I turn the app on...better safe than sorry, right?
