I get what you’re saying about pushing back, but honestly, in my experience, the whole “submit documentation” thing is a crapshoot. I once had a ticket dismissed and sent all the paperwork to my insurer—still got dinged for higher rates for almost a year. Maybe some companies are better, but most just don’t care unless you really hound them. Shopping around helps, sure, but it’s still a pain when you’re just trying to fix their mistake.

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve had tickets dropped too, sent in all the proof, and my rates still went up for months. Ever notice how they’re super quick to raise your premium but drag their feet fixing it? I’ve even called them out and got the “it’s in processing” line for weeks. Makes you wonder if they do it on purpose just to squeeze more cash. Have you ever actually gotten a rate fixed without calling them a dozen times?

Honestly, it’s like clockwork. They jack up your rate overnight but fixing their own screw-ups takes forever. I’ve never seen them move fast unless it benefits them. Has anyone actually switched companies over this garbage, or is it just the same everywhere?

I get where you’re coming from, but honestly, I switched a couple years back and it wasn’t night-and-day better. The new company still took their sweet time fixing billing errors, just with slightly nicer customer service. Maybe it’s just the nature of the beast? It’s frustrating, but I wonder if any of them are genuinely quicker unless you’re a “premium” customer or something. At this point, I’m not even sure shopping around makes much difference unless you stumble onto a unicorn company...

I hear you, but I’ve actually had a different experience—though it took a bit of legwork. After a nightmare claim process a few years back (my car was rear-ended and the paperwork alone nearly broke me), I decided to get methodical about it. Here’s what worked for me:

First, I made a spreadsheet and compared not just rates, but response times and actual claim reviews. I called around, asked pointed questions about their process, and even checked forums for real-world stories. It was tedious, but I did end up finding a smaller insurer that caters to higher-end vehicles. They’re not perfect—nobody is—but when I had a minor fender bender last year, they handled it fast and didn’t nickel-and-dime me.

I think the trick is to look past the big names and see if there’s a niche provider that fits your situation. It’s not always about being “premium”—sometimes it’s just about finding the right fit for your needs. Yeah, it’s more work upfront, but for me it paid off in fewer headaches down the line. Just my two cents...
