Haha, the Cheerios and juice box struggle is real...been there, cleaned that. My sweet spot looks pretty similar:

- Solid liability coverage (because accidents happen, especially with kids distracting you).
- Roadside assistance—seriously underrated, saved my bacon more than once.
- Skipped rental car coverage and fancy add-ons (I mean, Uber exists now, right?).

Basically, enough coverage to sleep easy at night without waking up broke.

I get skipping rental coverage, but honestly, Uber doesn't always cut it—especially if your car's in the shop for days. Learned that the hard way when my dealer took forever ordering parts...just something to think about.

Yeah, learned that lesson myself after a road trip mishap last summer. Thought I'd save a few bucks skipping rental coverage—until I got stranded in some tiny town waiting three days for a replacement radiator. Uber? Ha! They barely had pizza delivery, let alone rideshares. Now I lean toward paying a little extra for peace of mind. Saving money feels great until you're stuck eating gas station burritos and binge-watching motel cable...

Totally feel you on that one. I used to go bare minimum on coverage too, figuring I'd just pocket the extra cash. Then a deer decided to introduce itself to my bumper at 2 AM—middle of nowhere, of course. Tow truck and repairs wiped out all my "savings" and then some. Now I stick with mid-tier coverage: not too pricey, but enough to keep me from sweating bullets every time I hear a weird noise under the hood...

Had a similar wake-up call last winter. Always thought comprehensive was just extra fluff until an icy patch threw me into a guardrail. Not fun seeing those repair bills pile up... Mid-range coverage feels safer now, even if my wallet grumbles a bit.
