Yeah, that’s my worry too. I’ve had one officer give me a hard time about showing the insurance on my phone—acted like I was trying to pull a fast one. Ended up digging through my glove box for the paper just in case. Not worth the hassle if you ask me.

- Always keep a paper copy in the car, even if digital’s technically allowed. Some officers just aren’t on board with phone docs yet.
- I’ve had similar run-ins—one guy barely glanced at my phone and just shook his head. Didn’t want to risk it.
- Honestly, it’s not worth arguing roadside. Paper backup saves time and stress.
- Military discount’s great, but I’d rather avoid extra drama over proof of insurance.

- Paper in the glovebox is just one less thing to worry about if you get pulled over in the middle of nowhere. I get that digital works, but I’ve seen officers who flat-out refuse it.
- One time I had to dig through old receipts and napkins to find my paper copy. Not fun, but at least it ended quickly.
- Curious—has anyone actually had a cop accept just the phone version without any hassle? Or is it always a gamble?

I’ve had mixed luck, honestly. Once in my old beater, I showed the officer my phone and he just shrugged and said “good enough for me.” Another time, different county, the guy looked at me like I was trying to hand him Monopoly money. Ended up digging through my glovebox for the crumpled paper anyway. Guess it depends on who you get and how their day’s going... I keep both now, just in case.

Yeah, I’ve noticed it’s kind of a toss-up too. Some officers are totally fine with the digital proof, others act like you’re trying to pull a fast one. I keep both versions handy now—just makes life easier if you run into someone who’s old school about it. Honestly, it’s wild how something so basic isn’t consistent everywhere... but hey, congrats on snagging that discount. Every little bit helps these days.
