If I have a minor roof repair or replace a few damaged shingles, do Ohio insurers typically require documentation before continuing a home-and-auto bundle discount? Iβm trying to handle routine maintenance without creating an unexpected premium increase or claim-history issue.
Would photos, contractor invoices, and proof of completed repairs usually be enough, or might the insurer request a roof inspection? Also, if storm damage is involved, is it generally better to obtain an estimate first and ask about coverage before filing a homeowners claim, especially when the repair cost is close to the deductible?
