Which is better for SR-22 in ND: local agents or online companies?

Had the same problem with an online outfit a couple years back. They promised “instant filing”—turned out it took four days and I had to keep calling to get any info. Nearly missed a car show because my license was still in limbo. Local agent got it sorted in an afternoon when I finally caved and walked in. Not saying every online company is slow, but if you’re in a hurry or just don’t want the headache, the local folks usually get it done right away. Plus, if something goes sideways, you can actually talk to a real person instead of waiting for some generic email reply. For me, that’s worth a few extra bucks.

I’ve seen both sides. Online can be cheaper, but if you’re on a deadline or need paperwork fast, local usually wins. Had a guy last month stuck waiting for an online update—local agent fixed it in half a day. Sometimes paying a bit more is just less hassle.

I get wanting to save money—who doesn’t? But I learned the hard way that sometimes “cheaper” comes with hidden costs. Tried an online SR-22 once because it looked like a steal, and ended up waiting days for something the DMV needed ASAP. Local agent cost a bit more, but I had my paperwork in hours, not days. For me, the peace of mind is worth the extra bucks. If you’re on a tight timeline or just don’t want surprises, local’s probably safer.

I hear you on the peace of mind—sometimes paying a little more is just less stressful. I’ve had mixed luck with online stuff, too. Has anyone actually had a good experience with an online company for SR-22, or is it mostly headaches?

I’ve actually tried both, and honestly, the online route was a mixed bag for me too. The price looked good up front, but when I had questions, getting a real person was a pain. Local agents seem easier to reach, but sometimes their rates are higher. Has anyone found an online company that actually has decent customer service, or is that just wishful thinking?
