- Yeah, that’s what worries me too.
- I’ve read that most online companies *say* they notify the DMV, but I’m not sure I totally trust it.
- What if their system glitches or something?
- I’d probably double-check with the DMV myself, just to be safe.
- Local agents seem more old-school, but at least you can walk in and ask questions if something’s off.
- Online is tempting for the convenience, but I’m not convinced it’s foolproof.

Honestly, I get the appeal of just clicking a few buttons online and being done with it, but I’m always a little paranoid about stuff like this falling through the cracks. Had a buddy who thought his SR-22 was all set online, but turns out the DMV never got the paperwork—he only found out when he tried to renew his license. Local agents might be old-school, but at least you can look someone in the eye and get answers if things go sideways. Convenience is great... until it isn’t.

I totally get the paranoia. I tried to do my SR-22 online last year because, you know, why not save a trip? But then I spent the next two weeks refreshing my email and wondering if I’d just doomed myself to DMV purgatory. Ended up calling the company twice just to make sure they actually sent it.

Honestly, I think local agents are like that old reliable hoodie—maybe not the flashiest, but you know what you’re getting. If something goes wrong, you can just walk in and ask, “Hey, did you send my stuff or nah?” Online is cool for convenience, but if you’re the anxious type (like me), sometimes it’s worth the extra hassle for peace of mind.

But hey, if you’re brave and trust the internet gods, online can work... just double-check everything and maybe call the DMV after a week to make sure they got it. Learned that one the hard way.

I hear you on the anxiety—SR-22s can be a headache. Honestly, I’ve seen both sides work, but you nailed it about peace of mind. Local agents might take a bit more time, but if something gets lost in the shuffle, you can just walk in and get answers. Online is faster, but there’s always that “did it go through?” worry. If you do go online, I always recommend saving every confirmation and following up with the DMV after a few days. It’s not paranoid—it’s just being smart.

That’s the part that gets me every time. I tried online once and spent a week refreshing my email like it was a lottery ticket. Local agents might take longer, but at least you can look someone in the eye and get a straight answer if something’s off. Maybe I’m old school, but sometimes the peace of mind is worth the extra trip across town... even if it means sitting in traffic for half an hour.
