Snapshot felt gimmicky to me too—flagged me for braking hard when some guy cut me off on the freeway. But honestly, Geico's been pretty straightforward for my classics, even if they're not super customizable. Progressive seems more flexible, but does anyone know if their coverage is decent for older or vintage cars? Haven't seen much talk about that yet...

- Haven't used Progressive for classics myself, but their standard coverage has been solid for our family SUV.
- Rates are pretty competitive too... definitely cheaper than Geico was for us in NY.
- Curious though, does Progressive offer agreed-value policies for vintage cars?

I've had Progressive for a while now, and while I don't have a vintage ride myself (unless you count my 2002 Corolla that's practically vintage at this point, lol), I did look into their classic car coverage for my dad's old Mustang. From what I remember, they do offer agreed-value policies, but you might have to call them directly to set it up. Their rates were pretty decent too—definitely better than Geico quoted us here in NY. Worth giving them a quick call to confirm though...

Progressive does offer agreed-value coverage, but you gotta talk to an agent directly to pin down the exact value. I looked into it briefly for my old Camaro—rates weren't bad at all, even for someone like me with a couple tickets on record. Geico was way higher when I checked, especially here in NY. Definitely worth your time to get a quick quote from Progressive...might save you some cash.

I've worked with both Geico and Progressive policies quite a bit, and honestly, you're on the right track checking out Progressive's agreed-value coverage. Geico tends to be pricier in NY, especially if your driving record isn't spotless. I'd suggest giving Progressive a quick call—have your car details handy, mileage, any mods, etc.—and they'll walk you through setting a realistic agreed value. Usually takes just a few minutes, and you'll get a clearer picture of what you're paying for. Could end up being a solid deal...
