I feel you on the anxiety thing...tried DriveEasy myself and found it a bit less judgy than Snapshot, but still felt like my mom was watching me drive again, lol. Bundling and defensive driving courses def seem like the way to go.

Honestly, bundling and defensive driving are solid tips, but I'd rethink dismissing Snapshot or DriveEasy just because they're "judgy." From an adjuster's perspective, these apps aren't about judgingβ€”they're about risk assessment. If you're a decent driver, the savings can be significant. Sure, it feels intrusive at first, but after a few weeks, you barely notice it. Might be worth giving it another shot if the discount's good enough...

Fair point, but personally I'd hesitate to use Snapshot or similar apps with my classic cars. The driving style needed for older vehiclesβ€”like longer braking distances and slower accelerationβ€”can sometimes unfairly ding your score. Just something to consider...

Yeah, good point about classic cars... hadn't thought of that. Wonder if there's a way to appeal or adjust the scoring criteria for older vehicles? Seems like Snapshot might be better suited to newer cars overall.

Yeah, Snapshot seems kinda hit or miss for older cars. I'm looking into insurance for the first time myself, and honestly, I was leaning toward Progressive initially because of Snapshotβ€”thought it'd save me a few bucks. But then a friend mentioned he drives an older Civic and his rates barely budged after using it. Apparently, the device didn't really capture the nuances of how he drove his older car... like slower acceleration and cautious braking just got interpreted weirdly or something.

Makes me skeptical about how well these telematics things actually work for older vehicles. Maybe Geico's simpler approach would be less hassle in that case? Dunno yet, still comparing quotes and all that jazz. Just feels like newer tech might not always mesh well with older cars, at least based on what I've heard so far.
