"definitely less stressful than when I dealt with Progressive previously."

Yeah, I'd second that. Progressive isn't terrible, but their claims process can drag a bit, especially if you're dealing with repairs. Geico's been solid for me here in NYβ€”competitive rates, and when I had a windshield replacement last year, everything went smoothly. Just watch out for premium hikes after claims; Geico can be quick to bump rates, even if you're not at fault.

I'm about to buy insurance for the first time and threads like this make me feel slightly less clueless, lol. Good to know Geico's decent with claims...Progressive sounds like a headache I don't need. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Same boat here, first-time insurance buyer and honestly, reading these posts is like group therapy for insurance anxiety, lol. My cousin had Progressive and said it wasn't terrible, but Geico seems way less stressful overall... leaning towards them myself. Good luck!

Totally get the anxietyβ€”insurance shopping can feel like a maze at first. Both Geico and Progressive are solid choices, honestly. I've had clients happy with either, but Geico does seem to have smoother customer service overall... you're on the right track. Good luck!

I've had both Geico and Progressive over the years here in NY. Honestly, coverage-wise they're pretty similar, but when I had a fender bender last winter, Geico was surprisingly quick and hassle-free. Progressive wasn't bad either, but their claims process felt a bit more... bureaucratic? Either way, you're not gonna go horribly wrongβ€”just depends how much patience you have for phone calls and paperwork, haha. Good luck navigating the maze.
