Couldn’t agree more—being thorough is key, especially with higher-end cars where repairs get complicated fast. I’ve learned the hard way that even a missing receipt can slow things down. Just keep every scrap of info, even if it seems minor.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve panicked over a lost doc or random receipt—my glove box is basically a filing cabinet at this point. I’m with you, though, even if it feels like overkill sometimes. With insurance, especially in NY, they’ll look for any reason to slow things down. I’m leaning toward Progressive just because their app seems better for keeping digital records, but honestly, both companies can be sticklers if you’re missing paperwork. It’s wild how much one tiny slip can mess up a claim.

I hear you on the paperwork chaos—my glove box is a black hole for expired registrations and coffee-stained receipts. I’ve actually had Geico for a few years in NY, and while their app isn’t flashy, it’s saved me during random roadside “document checks.” Progressive’s digital tools do look slicker, but I’ve heard mixed things about their claims process dragging out if anything’s missing. Honestly, whichever way you go, keeping digital backups is a lifesaver... just don’t trust the glove box alone.

Ever try finding a specific doc in your glove box in the dark? Total nightmare. I get what you mean about Geico’s app—it’s basic, but it works. Do you ever worry about your info syncing right with these apps, though? Sometimes I second-guess if my digital ID is actually up to date...

Been there, done that—once dropped my registration between the seats and nearly lost my mind. Honestly, I don’t trust any app 100%. I always keep a paper backup, just in case tech decides to glitch at the worst moment.
