First thing was snapping a bunch of clear pics of the damage and the scene. Then I called my insurance company right away—figured sooner is better than later. They asked for details, gave me a claim number, and told me to get an estimate from one of their approved repair shops. Went there next day, got the estimate emailed directly to my insurer.
After that, just waited a couple days for approval (felt longer tho lol). Once approved, scheduled repairs at the same shop. Paid my deductible when picking up the car and boom—done.
But I'm wondering if there's anything I could've done differently or smarter? Like maybe speeding things up or avoiding any hidden pitfalls? Curious if anyone else has tips or tricks they've learned from experience...
