"Nothing dramatic, but enough to make me slightly nervous about starting reliably every morning."
Yeah, that's pretty much my experience too. I wasn't convinced initially that a low-voltage cutoff would make a noticeable difference, but after installing one, it definitely eased my mind. The DIY part was straightforwardβjust take your time and label wires clearly. Honestly, the hardest part was convincing myself I hadn't missed something obvious... spent half the afternoon second-guessing my connections, haha. Glad to hear it worked out for you as well.
Nice job getting that sortedβelectrical stuff always has me double-checking everything too. I once spent an entire Saturday convinced I'd fried my battery, only to realize I'd just left a connector loose... embarrassing moment for sure. Anyway, a low-voltage cutoff really is a solid investment. Even if it doesn't seem like a big deal at first, it can save you from those "will it start today?" mornings. Glad you're feeling better about it now.
Haha, been there with the battery scare myselfβspent half a day convinced my alternator was toast, turned out it was just a corroded terminal. Felt pretty silly after that one. I'm usually skeptical about adding extra gadgets to my setup, but gotta admit, a low-voltage cutoff does sound like it'd save some headaches on long trips. Glad you're sorted now, nothing worse than that nagging worry when you're miles from home...
Totally relate to that battery scareβhad a similar experience last winter. Thought my starter was shot, turned out I'd just left the dome light on overnight (facepalm moment right there...). Definitely agree on the low-voltage cutoff; I installed one after that incident and it's been peace of mind ever since. Especially handy if you're camping or parked somewhere remote. Glad your issue was minor too, nothing like car trouble anxiety miles from civilization.

Been thinking about installing one of those too, but is it worth it if I rarely camp or park remotely? Seems handy, but maybe overkill for city driving...
