I've been letting my roommate borrow my car occasionally, and it got me thinking about insurance coverage. Did some digging around and found out that in Michigan, your auto insurance usually covers someone else driving your car as long as you've given them permission. But apparently, it's smart to double-check your policy details first—some insurers have sneaky exclusions or limitations.
What I've done so far is call up my agent, confirm coverage details, and made sure my roommate has a valid license (duh). Wondering if there's anything else I should be doing or if anyone's got better tips for peace of mind?
