Man, that's rough. I haven't personally had a mistake pop up on my driving record (knock on wood), but a buddy of mine went through something similar a couple years back. He got flagged for running a red light in a city he'd never even visited. Turned out someone had misread the license plate number from one of those traffic cams. Took him forever to straighten it out, too—lots of back-and-forth with the DMV.
