I recently had a bit of a rough patch with my driving record—couple speeding tickets and one minor accident (totally my fault, unfortunately). My old insurance company jacked up my rates like crazy, so I started shopping around. Ended up checking out Liberty Mutual, and surprisingly, their quote wasn't as scary as I expected. Still higher than before, but manageable, you know? Curious if anyone else has had luck with them or found better options after a few driving mishaps...

Yeah, Liberty Mutual wasn't too bad when I checked them out after my little fender-bender last year. Still ended up going with Progressive though—somehow they were a bit cheaper for me even with my less-than-perfect record. Might depend on the car too... luxury rides can be tricky to insure affordably after mishaps. Did you try bundling policies? Sometimes that helps shave off a few bucks.

I dunno, Liberty Mutual quoted me way higher than I expected after my speeding ticket. Progressive was okay-ish, but Geico ended up being my best bet. Guess it's really hit or miss depending on your situation... and how much coffee the agent had that morning.

Bundling can help, but honestly, once you have a ticket or two, it's all over the map. I had a minor fender-bender a couple years back (totally my fault, unfortunately...) and State Farm went from friendly neighbor to distant cousin real quick. Switched to Progressive and bundled home and auto—ended up saving enough to ease the sting. Still, best bet is probably shopping around every renewal. And maybe slow down a bit... tickets aren't cheap these days.
