"insurance fine print is next-level confusing..."

Couldn't agree more. I've owned cars in Illinois for over a decade, and every renewal feels like decoding a foreign language. Last year, I misunderstood the "uninsured motorist coverage" clause—ended up calling too. Definitely worth the hassle for clarity.

Yeah, uninsured motorist coverage can trip you up easily... I spent a good hour last renewal trying to figure out if stacking coverage was even allowed in Illinois. Turns out it isn't, but the wording made it sound optional. Did you find calling actually cleared things up, or did they just read the same confusing text back to you? Seems like sometimes agents are just as lost as we are.

Yeah, I had the same experience calling—felt like they were just as confused as I was. Ended up googling forums and articles instead. Glad I'm not the only one who found the wording tricky...

Exactly my experience too—insurance reps often seem unsure about the finer details. I've learned to double-check everything myself. Curious, has anyone had issues specifically with out-of-state coverage rules in Illinois? Seems extra murky there...

That's been my experience too... especially when asking about traveling out-of-state. Illinois rules always seem extra tricky for some reason. Last summer, we drove from Chicago down to Memphis, and I swear every rep gave me a slightly different answer on coverage limits once we crossed state lines. Ended up just calling the main office directly and getting something in writing.

Wonder if it's more complicated because Illinois borders so many states, or just typical insurance company vagueness? Has anyone noticed if certain companies handle interstate coverage better than others? Would be nice to find one that's clearer on this stuff.
