I get where you’re coming from. I’ve had insurance for years and honestly, the tech stuff is hit or miss. Here’s what I’ve learned:

- The apps are convenient, but they don’t always catch subtle damage. Had a scrape once that looked minor in photos, but the adjuster found a bent bracket underneath.
- In-person adjusters can be a hassle to schedule, but they usually spot things you’d never think to check. Sometimes they even point out stuff you didn’t notice, which can help your claim.
- On the flip side, I’ve had one adjuster who barely glanced at my car and just shrugged it off. Not all of them are thorough.

If you’re worried about missing something, maybe take your own detailed pics—different angles, close-ups, even under the bumper if you can. That way you’ve got backup if there’s a dispute later. It’s not perfect, but it’s saved me once or twice when paperwork got messy.

Honestly, I still use the app for small stuff, but anything that feels off or expensive? I push for an in-person look. It’s a pain, but better safe than sorry...
