Yeah, I hear you on the H-1 rock showers—my S-class took a hit last year and the ADAS recalibration alone was almost as much as the glass. I was skeptical about adding glass coverage too, but after that, I caved. Honestly, I shopped around and found that the smaller local insurers sometimes offer better deals on glass than the big names, but it’s still not cheap. Some will let you add just glass without jacking up your whole premium, but it took a lot of digging. It’s wild how much those rates jump just for one feature...

Yeah, the ADAS recalibration thing is wild—didn’t even realize that was a thing until my friend’s car needed it after a cracked windshield. I keep wondering if it’s even worth it to add glass coverage when the premiums jump so much. Did you notice any weird exclusions with the smaller insurers? I’ve heard some don’t cover OEM glass, which seems kinda sketchy...
