bumped someone's car lightly, no visible damage—should I report?

Dashcams can be helpful, but honestly, in parking lot situations, their usefulness might be limited. Most dashcams face forward or backward, so unless the incident happens directly in front or behind your car, you might miss crucial details. I had a similar issue once—someone scraped my side panel, and my dashcam caught nothing useful. Maybe investing in a 360-degree camera setup would be more effective, though that's pricier and probably overkill for most people...

Yeah, those 360 setups are nice but honestly, unless you're parking a Ferrari or something, it's probably not worth the hassle. I've seen plenty of claims where even dashcams didn't help much—parking lots are just chaos sometimes...

I agree, those 360-degree setups seem impressive but they're definitely pricey for everyday use. Honestly, a basic dashcam or even just snapping a quick photo after minor bumps usually covers your bases without breaking the bank...just speaking from experience here.

Yeah, dashcams can save you headaches, but honestly, does anyone really report a tiny bump with no visible damage? I mean, if there's literally nothing to see, what's the point? I once tapped someone's bumper lightly at the grocery store—no scratch, no dent—but left a note anyway. Guy called me laughing, said he wouldn't have even noticed if not for my note. Felt kinda silly after that...would you guys bother reporting something like that?

Haha, honestly, better safe than sorry. Even if it feels silly, leaving a note shows you're responsible and considerate—trust me, insurance companies love that stuff. I've seen tiny bumps escalate into weird claims later on, so covering your bases never hurts. Plus, you probably made that guy's day with your honesty...and got a good laugh out of it yourself. Win-win, right?
