Had a similar thing happen a few months ago—first time dealing with insurance, so I totally get the worry. Honestly, if there's no visible damage and everything settled down quickly, you're probably good. Modern bumpers are designed for minor taps like that. I'd say breathe easy...been there, done that, and it turned out fine.

Had a similar bump a while back with my '68 Mustang—talk about anxiety, haha. Honestly, if it's just a gentle tap and no visible marks, you're usually fine. Modern cars are built to handle minor nudges way better than classics (trust me on that one...). Wouldn't stress too much unless the other driver seems concerned or something feels off. Just keep an eye out for weird noises or alignment issues next few drives.

Had a similar experience with my Audi A6 last year. Barely tapped someone's bumper in a parking lot—no visible damage at all, but I still worried about hidden issues. Modern bumpers are definitely designed to absorb minor impacts without much fuss, but luxury cars can sometimes hide expensive surprises behind those sleek panels. I'd say you're probably fine if nothing looks off and the other driver isn't making a big deal out of it.

Still, from a practical standpoint, I'd snap a quick photo or two just for peace of mind. You never know when someone might change their mind later or claim something unrelated was caused by your little bump. Better safe than sorry, especially if insurance gets involved down the line.

Curious though, has anyone here ever had someone come back days or weeks later claiming damage from a minor tap like this? Seems unlikely, but you never know...

Yep, seen it plenty of times. Modern bumpers are great at hiding damage...until you pop 'em off and realize they're packed with sensors. I'd snap those pics just in case—insurance headaches aren't fun.

Yep, agreed—definitely snap those pics. A buddy of mine had a similar situation last year. Barely tapped a newer BMW, zero visible damage, figured he was good...but nope. Owner got it checked out anyway, and turns out some internal sensor got knocked loose. Ended up being a $900 "invisible" repair. Modern cars aren't just metal and paint anymore—they're practically rolling computers. Even minor bumps can mess with parking sensors, radar cruise control, lane-assist cameras...the list goes on. Better safe than sorry, especially with luxury rides. Insurance might be annoying now, but dealing with an unexpected bill later is way worse.
