my experience getting decent service from GEICO

So I've had GEICO for a couple years now, and honestly, their customer service can be hit or miss. What usually works for me is calling early in the morning—less wait time—and politely but firmly explaining my issue step-by-step. Anyone got a better way to handle them?

Calling early definitely helps, I've noticed that too. Honestly, your approach of politely but firmly explaining the issue step-by-step is probably the safest bet. I've tried shortcuts before... usually ended up causing more confusion than it solved. Patience pays off with these things.

Interesting point about patience, but honestly, I've had mixed results with the step-by-step approach. Last time I called GEICO, I tried being thorough and detailed, and it felt like the rep got overwhelmed or something—ended up transferring me twice. Weirdly enough, when I kept it short and direct (but still polite), things moved quicker. Maybe it depends on who picks up your call or their experience level... luck of the draw, I guess.
