I get your point about coverage gaps, and it's definitely something to watch out for. But I wouldn't dismiss cheaper online quotes entirely. I've been commuting daily for years, and honestly, I've found some pretty solid deals online that didn't compromise on coverage. The key is doing your homework—reading the fine print, comparing policies side-by-side, and not just jumping at the lowest number.

Agents can be helpful, sure, but remember they're also incentivized to upsell. Last year, an agent tried convincing me I needed way more coverage than realistically necessary for my older sedan. After some digging around myself, I realized a mid-tier policy was perfectly adequate for my situation. Saved me a decent chunk of change without leaving me exposed.

So yeah, cheap isn't always smart—but neither is automatically assuming pricier means better. It's all about finding that sweet spot between cost and coverage.
