I hear you—it’s like they want us to need a law degree just to understand if windshield cracks are covered or not. I’ve tried three different companies in Delaware, and every time I think I’ve got it figured out, there’s some hidden clause buried in the fine print. Maybe it’s legal stuff, but sometimes it feels like they’re just making it harder on purpose. I’d settle for bullet points and some actual examples, honestly... is that too much to ask?

Yeah, the fine print is a beast. I’ve seen policies where “glass coverage” means just the windshield, and others where it’s all windows—then you find out there’s a $500 deductible anyway. My trick is to ask for a sample policy before signing anything. It’s not fun reading, but at least you can ctrl+F for “windshield” and see what pops up. Bullet points would be a dream, but I guess lawyers need job security too...

That ctrl+F trick has saved me a few headaches, honestly. I’ve had agents tell me “full glass” and then when I dig in, it’s only the windshield—side windows are somehow “extra.” The deductible thing is wild too. Has anyone actually found a policy in Delaware where glass is covered with a low or zero deductible, or is that just wishful thinking? I drive a lot for work and can’t risk being out of pocket every time a truck kicks up a rock...

- Been down this rabbit hole more times than I care to admit.
- “Full glass” apparently means “just the windshield, unless you ask three times and get it in writing.”
- I did find one company (starts with an S, rhymes with ‘mate’) that offered $50 glass deductible, but only if you jump through hoops and sign away your firstborn.
- Side windows? Forget it. Apparently they’re made of gold in Delaware.
- My tip: call local agents directly. Sometimes they have weird little add-ons you can’t find online.
- Also, keep a roll of duct tape handy. Not for the window—just for my sanity after talking to insurance reps...

I hear you on the “full glass” nonsense. Last year, a rock took out my Panamera’s side window and I swear the insurance lady sounded personally offended I’d even ask about coverage. Ended up paying out of pocket—felt like I was buying the window from Tiffany’s. Delaware insurance is wild…
