Has anyone actually gotten a loyalty discount that was worth it? Or is that just marketing fluff?

Yeah, I’ve wondered the same. In my case, the “loyalty discount” was like $20 a year, but my rate still went up $100. Honestly, I started switching every couple years. It’s a pain, but the savings usually make up for the hassle. I haven’t found a sweet spot—just seems like you gotta keep comparing or you end up paying more for nothing.

Yeah, I hear you. Loyalty discounts always sound better than they actually are. I stuck with the same company for years thinking it’d pay off, but my rates just kept creeping up anyway. It’s annoying, but shopping around really does seem to be the only way to keep things reasonable.

Funny how “loyalty” just means “pay more over time,” right? I’ve seen people stick with the same insurer for a decade and still get hit with random hikes. Out of curiosity, did you ever try calling your company to ask why your rates went up, or did you just switch as soon as you saw the increase? Sometimes they’ll budge if you push back, but not always...

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too—loyalty doesn’t always pay off in this industry, which is kind of backwards. Rate hikes can feel random, but sometimes it’s just the company adjusting for broader risk factors or state regulations. I’ve had clients call in and get a discount or at least an explanation, but it’s hit or miss. Honestly, shopping around every couple years seems to be the only way to keep them honest. It’s a hassle, but sometimes you have to play the game.

Yeah, I hear you—loyalty used to mean something, but now it’s like the longer you stay, the more you pay. I’ve seen people get better rates just by mentioning they’re shopping around. It’s weirdly inconsistent. Delaware’s not the worst, but it’s definitely not easy either. Sometimes I wonder if the “loyalty discount” is just a myth at this point...
