Have you checked if your insurer offers mileage-based discounts or classic car policies? I switched my old Volvo to a classic policy last year, and it made a noticeable difference. They usually factor in limited driving and careful maintenance, so it might suit your situation. Also, have you considered taking a defensive driving course? Some insurers give discounts for that tooβ€”plus, with vintage brakes, extra safety tips never hurt...

Mileage-based discounts are definitely worth exploring. A couple of years ago, I switched my '69 Mustang to a policy that accounted for limited mileage, and the savings were substantial. They did ask for odometer readings periodically, but it wasn't a hassle. I'd also second the defensive driving course suggestionβ€”did one myself and got a small discount. I get the hesitationβ€”classic policies can seem too good to be true sometimes. When I switched over, my premium actually dropped a bit, but the deductible was slightly higher. Not a huge deal-breaker, but something to keep an eye on. What worries me more is the fine print around mileage limits or restrictions on repairs. Have you looked into how strict they are about mileage tracking? That's the part I'm still skeptical about...
