Yeah, mobile payments are handy, but even those aren't foolproof. Had a client recently whose phone got hacked—someone drained his account through an app he trusted. Best bet is to keep an eye on your accounts regularly... scammers always find new tricks.

That's exactly why I stick to credit cards for most online stuff—at least there's some protection there. Anyone know if banks usually cover losses from hacked payment apps, or are you basically on your own?

Credit cards are definitely helpful, but relying solely on them might not always be the best approach. I recently got insurance coverage specifically for cyber fraud and identity theft. At first, I wasn't sure if it was worth it, but honestly, knowing there's a dedicated support team ready to step in if something happens has given me peace of mind. Banks might cover some losses, but having an extra layer of protection never hurts...

Haha, I feel you on the credit card thing—it's like having a trusty umbrella when the forecast says rain. But honestly, that insurance idea isn't half bad either. Had a friend who got hit with identity theft last year, and watching him untangle that mess was painful. Having someone else handle the headache sounds pretty tempting right about now...might have to look into it myself.

Yeah, that's exactly what worries me—seeing someone else go through it really makes you think twice. Did your friend ever figure out how his info got compromised in the first place? I've always wondered if it's mostly online shopping, sketchy gas stations, or just random bad luck... Would be good to pinpoint some common weak spots to avoid the headache altogether.
